American Institute of Banking (AIB) is a continuing education curriculum for the financial services industry. AIB courses are offered through the American Bankers Association’s (ABA) local training provider, the Michigan Bankers Association (MBA) in partnership with Michigan Business Consultants (MBC).
AIB courses are offered in flexible formats that fit the way you work and live. AIB courses include measurements of learning, and are designed to increase job skills and enhance knowledge. Completion of prescribed courses can lead to industry-recognized AIB diplomas and certificates, or assist in professional licensing requirements. Colleges and universities, at their discretion, may accept the transfer of AIB credits.Learning is made easy with AIB’s flexible formats:
Classroom instruction: In a more traditional learning style, three-hour sessions are held for 10-15 consecutive weeks, taught by an experienced, knowledgeable professional. Students enjoy learning and networking with their peers and from the instructor.Independent Study: Allows individual students to progress through a course on their own by completing graded exercises and passing an exam over a period of up to 15 weeks. Available to everyone located anywhere in Michigan. Students have the added convenience of completing the study when and where they choose. Contact with the instructor is pre-arranged to be done by phone, mail and/or e-mail.
Seminars: Offered in locations throughout selected Michigan cities, AIB seminars offer current topics taught by industry experts. Participants will walk away with practical skills that they can begin implementing immediately.
AIB courses begin in January, April, and September of each calendar year. In addition, AIB courses may be offered at your financial institution anytime throughout the year. Contact AIB@MBCtraining.com for more information.
