Coaching and Assessment

MBC’s Strategic Performance Consultants perform a variety of consulting service to include, but not limited to:

Individual Coaching

Individual coaching topics may include, but are not limited to specific skill building, i.e. time management, project management, sexual harassment, workplace harassment, sensitivity issues, customer skills, etc.

MBC is often called in to work with executives, members of management and employees to build skills in one or more specific areas of deficiency.

All coaching sessions are non-threatening and productive. The number of sessions and frequency needed are determined based upon need. An assessment is completed and a proposed plan is offered prior to beginning the individual sessions. Action plans are completed at the end of each session. The MBC Strategic Performance Consultant will work with your company human resource department and the individual’s department head for ensured reinforcement and follow up.

    Team coaching may include, but is not limited to two or more employees not getting along, separate sides taken with decisions, and/or employees working in silos instead of communicating openly and helping each other.       We are operating lean and it got to the point where employees would do their job, but wouldn’t offer to help anyone else. Everyone became very protective of their own work and really didn’t seem to care about how it effected anyone else. Messages weren’t given timely and our customer service was adversely effected.     Leadership Assessment

    Some call it a 360 degree appraisal, we call it MBC’s Leadership Assessment. At MBC we believe that the heart of your business success begins with your leaders. We can tell how effective they truly are by asking what they think, asking their employees what they think and asking their manager.

    Five key leadership skills are assessed:

      1. Communication Skills
      2. Administrative Skills
      3. Interpersonal Skills
      4. Influence Skills
      5. Change Management Skills

    Results are tabulated by category so that the manager can see his/her self perception compared to what his/her boss thinks, compared to his/her employees. A summary of comments are offered and a detailed action plan is developed for growth. See sample chart.

    Communication Skills – Manager A

    18 months after the original Leadership Survey is assessed, a follow up survey is completed to track results and long-term change.

    Wow! The Leadership Assessment process was a real culture shock to many of us. We never asked our employees before about what they thought, especially about how we managed them. Many of us thought this was another event that we were having to go through the motions to support. Two years later, what a difference!   • Online Training Reinforcement

    MBC's online training reinforcement is designed to reinforce training attended to maximize your investment! The online modules are available for employees to:

    • Access the online training reinforcement from any internet connection through the MBC website.
    • Review main skill points offered in the training session that they attended approximately 6-12 months prior.
    • Take a quiz after the review to test their knowledge.

    The online training reinforcement takes approximately 20 minutes per module. It is convenient, accessible and an inexpensive way to follow up on a training initiative.

    Whether you want customization of one of MBC’s current curriculum, to develop a training program from scratch or have someone trained in your company via train-the-trainer, MBC Strategic Performance Consultants can provide you with what you need or make a referral to someone who can. Just ask.
